I read a bunch of posts that people were getting the Froyo market pushed to their phones. Mine has yet to receive it. Is there anything people have done in order to get the new market?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think a new market is being pushed (new market means new OTA -- Froyo), I believe what you have read is that there is an installer for an updated market, which may be the market from Froyo, has some new functionalities, you may have to search through these forums and see if you can the .apk (installer file)
Here you go:I was reading posts where people said they rebooted their phone, and they had it.
nope not at all. Like any upgrade of the same app it gives you that all user data will be saved note. Totally GTGWhy thank you, kind sir. This won't mess with my installed apps, will it?
Thats why we're hereI noticed last night on my wife's Fascinate (while installing K9 mail) that she had the updated (Froyo) Market on her phone. I can guarantee that she didn't install it...so, don't know how it got there. In any case, I didn't have it on mine.
I followed the above directions and now also have the newer version. Thanks for the post.
What's the difference between a 2.1 market and a Froyo one?
Yes a handy feature; just that and the layout. Comments now has its own tab:I think the main difference is that you can update all apps instead of doing each one individually.
