Root Where is the love?

Cyanogenmod is by far the best, most stable rom for this device. But ever since Verizon's Gingerbread update was to arrive, that ROM thread has died. That is all I have for now. Don't want to post a regretful statement.

Miui.us has been more stable for me and overall I like it better. So your.premise is not factual but opinion. However, the update might benefit us all, even those of us running roms

I miss the speed and its an awesome Rom. I could care less about Gingerbread, very lackluster imo. It's the newer sense versions and the associated graphics that I like and the roms that include it are paired with GB.

I realize it is opinion, I was feeling alone as a cm7 user :(

You are hardly alone but when a rom gets so solid, how much is there to post about?

Tru dat. I guess the only way I could see this rom as truly solid would be if I had a clearer understanding of which apps I could move to my SD to free up the /data/data partition. What I mean is, that aside from widget and system apps, are all other apps cool to go on SD, especially between normal flash overs? For example, let's say I have 20 market apps on my SD card. If I flash 181 over 180, with standard cache and dalvik wipes, will my apps be cool? Also, I seem to remember that apps on the SD card don't update properly. I could be wrong here:/

Thanks for your time FramCire.

I used NotEnoughSpace to move things. It tells you what you can move and helps you move it.

The only.time when flashing nightlies that I suggest a wipe more than dalvik and cache is when they go from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 and such.

I never had issue with updating apps on SD but then again its been months since I moved from cm7 to miui.us

Thought about NES but it seems too automated for my liking...same kinda reason why I use manual recovery and not — wait for it — ROM Manager.

From what I read earlier tonight on Reddit, someone hacked the Kernel repository for Cyanogenmod. That's why there's been nothing new in the nightlies for weeks. They released the first new nightlies tonight. CM7 is not dead.
