Help Where is the port for Qi charging

Well the coil is located directly in the middle of the tablet. If you line then up and it still doesn't charge, I'm afraid you may have a defective charger.

Or a defective tablet...

I have a different charger but it should work the same, just plug the wall adapter into the micro USB then place the N7 on top of the pad. Placement isn't critical but you should aim to center the tablet on the pad. If it doesn't charge, then you must have gotten a defective charger.

I accidentally ordered two chargers and tried both. Unless both are doa, which can happen, I am at a loss. I enabled NFC, Android Beam and I don't think it's my tablet.

It might be the tablet. A couple of folks over in the xda-developer forums have reported success by taking the back off and cleaning the contacts (I certainly haven't done it myself and would be really reluctant to - I merely provide the information :-).

Here's my Moko case mod for charging with the Nexus 4 style charger:

Nexus 7 Case Mod

Charges much faster than it did through the case, and there is no chance of it slipping off the charger.

Thanks! It could be the tablet, not sure about cleaning contacts these days! I'll just return the two Qi chargers as DOA and use use micro USB. I'm in the process of elimination now, trying each charger one at a times, switching wall socket/plug, etc. If it doesn't pan out like I said, I'm just gonna forget it.

I have 2 of those chargers and they work perfectly for both our Nexus 7.2's

The pad isn't specifically made for the 7" tablet so placement is critical. Centered is the best way to describe placement.

If you've the volume turned up a bit -- When charging begins one gets a series of tones indicating wireless charging.

Charging does not begin immediately. Once placed on the pad -- It may take 2 - 3 seconds to start charging and get the tones.

We use the MoKo case on both of ours and it works perfectly thru the case.

To test the charging with the case --- Simply open the cover while placing on the charging pad and one will get a one line display that says Charging and a percentage of battery charge.

There is no programming of the tablet or setting that needs to be enabled for wireless charging.

I suggest trying again. You may also wish to simply hold the charging pad in your hand and with the other hand place the tablet on the pad. Move it around and see if one can find the sweet spot.

If the tablet still won't charge -- It's the fault of the tablet and not the charging pad.

You also may plug the USB cord into your computer instead of the supplied wall plug. Works perfectly doing it this way.

We both love this method for charging -- Hope you get yours sorted out !!

The weird think on mine is that I get the gingle-gingle tone only about 10% of the time, but if I look at the battery icon, it does indicate it is charging even without the tone.

Great point --

I being OLD ....... Have noticed this and just chalked it up to my hearing or not paying attention or maybe the volume was turned down.

If I don't hear the tones -- Then I open the cover and see if I have the charging display and adjust the tablet on the pad as necessary.

Being we both have this same condition -- Maybe relaying on the tones indicating charging is not the best method -- A screen check verify's charging.
