where is the "restrict data usage"

bigHUN

Newbie
several weeks both the Galaxy Nexus (open) and the Galaxy Note (open as well but the Rogers boot screen and some apps) in the family, this as a short story. My son got the idea he doesn't like the Note anymore, so I sad give it to me, and we swap the units with my younger son (this when two boys grow up !!!! :) ). Here comes my question, I could not figure this out:
- on Nexus, I can restrict the data usage (upload/download) only through WiFi, so I can save from my bills if using the phone only.
- since I've got now the Note, Im not sure where is that thingy "do not touch data if no WiFi is present" ?
- I know for apps counting more less accurate the data usage, but I want to make it auto so no thinking about it, no data no GPS, no youtube consumption...

Iam confused about your question, see usually when I am in am already saved WiFi area my note automatically turns off the data and activates WiFi this happens by default in all Android devices, the only situation that WiFi is not automatically picked up is if you have turned off your WiFi

so if you wanna save on your data just save all the WiFi networks on your phone and keep the WiFi on ,whenever you are on a WiFi area it will get picked up
