It was there yesterday. My battery wasn't ready, so I backed out. It said download cancelled, but I never really excepted it. I go back to get it and it is gone. When I click software update and then status it says Mecha_Verizon_wwe_2.11.605.3-1.70.605.0, status: User rejected,Code:401, date:09/28/11, Time:12:55 PM. What does this mean?? Have I lost GB?? Will I have to wait for it to go live OTA. Very madd at myself right now. Maybe the TB fam can ease the pain...Thanks in advance, anyone

Don't worry it will come back, they have to offer it to everyone first but eventually they will get back to you and allow you to update. FWIW read the other threads about the update and notice how few people are saying anything good about the update, it should at least help you feel a little better for rejecting it.

don't worry. It will continue to come back until you get a successful download. My initial download yesterday failed and when I went back to redownload it was not there. I kept trying and nothing. About 4 hours later I found it again and redownloaded it, and it was successful at that time.

keep in mind once you get it, make sure after it does its reboot, you also do another manual reboot by yourself. A lot of my apps didn't work initially after the first to reboot of the system, but after I done my own reboot everything works just fine. No problem so far at all.

Yeah that's why i did... wasn't going to go thru an MR1 disaster again. They'll fix the voicemail someday but I could use the new radio...

Yeah, I feel for you. I am so used to having newer radios thanks to being rooted it took me a min to remember the issues the older radios had.

Thanks, just the fact this update was flubbed after so much prior nonsense is forcing me to strongly consider just rooting the bastard tonight... Verizon and HTC are beyond pathetic compared to the dev. community..

More true words have never been spoken.

Rooting is quite easy, really just getting the nerve to do it is the hard part ;) Once you root and play around with some roms you will forget why you were iffy about doing it to being with.

The one thing about that statement though...is that the mfr and carriers are also having to look out for not just the techie people but also a lot of other people who are BEYOND ignorant to technology. We've all met the people who we all think are "way too dumb for a smartphone". Yes, the Dev community is amazing, and co do a lot with what they're given. But they're usually developing roms and builds for people that are used to it, knowing that what they're doing is used by relatively knowledgeable people.

The Mfr and carriers on the other hand, have to make sure what they're putting out works for not just some, but all users, with as few bugs as possible. Do they still creep up? sure. Same as anything. But look at some of the issues that some people have had with certain ROMS. Cameras not working, etc.

So while it's easy to slam the factory peeps for delays and bugs, remember that they're trying to do so for all users, not some.

Just my .02

Isn't that what iPhones are for? :D

All kidding aside I understand what you are saying, there are people that need to be protected from themselves. Part of the reason I was happy with the root process before revolutionary was that someone had to be at least partially tech adept or able and willing to read before taking the plunge.
