Where to buy?

Besides purchasing the phone on Virgin Mobile's website, where else do you think we can find this phone? Best Buy? Target? Radio Shack? I think this phone will be so hot that it will be very difficult to get one unless you camp out the night before launch or pre-order if possible. Can any Virgin Mobile employees offer any info?

Actually the Optimus V came out very quietly. Probably a combination of ineffective publicity by VM/Sprint and unenthusiastic coverage by the press. People are still shocked when I tell them they can get a real smartphone with unlimited data and texting for $25 a month.

I think the press is waayy behind the curve on prepaid. Probably because all of them have the latest gadgets on a postpaid plan (likely paid by their employers), the phones on these plans fail to excite them.

However the providers have about maxed out revenue on postpaid plans - prepaid is the area where the greatest growth will occur.

The Triumph may just be the tipping point for the press to start covering the news on prepaid.

Just realized I didn't answer the question. I got my "V" at Radio Shack. Just keep watching here - I bet the information on where to get it will be posted within hours of the information coming out from Virgin Mobile.
