Hello Ya'll! I have to admit that I know little to zero about my Samsung Captivate and smartphones in general. For the past couple of days since reading about the new firmware for Android, I have been learning about various things you can do to your phone such as rooting, flashing, lagging, custom roms, kernals, one click lag fixes, ect and I have to say that I am more confused than EVER!! I think I am learning about something like how to root your phone and then I read another term that I do not know and I find myself looking for the meaning of that word or term and I'm going into an entirely different direction than I was just 5 mins previous and I STILL HAVEN'T FIGURED ANYTHING OUT!! LOL! It's rather frustrating. I am not a savy computer guy and actually don't know much about them other than the most basic of functions.
I am wondering if there is anyone who direct me to a good learning source to learn about my phone. I mean something that starts at the basic beginning from terminology to how things run on the phone. I think if I learn that first than I may understand how to change certain things and why to change the phone. Also understanding what to change. I need to learn these things because I do want to get the most out of my phone and turn it into my personal phone. Any help at all is very appreciated! After reading alot of the post, I know that I have come to the right place in search of these things. So, with all that said... I'M ALL EARS!!
