Where's JellyBean???

Jellybean should be rolling out across the UK today (Dec 7th)!

I'd argue its still a flagship. Sure we have the x+ and the butterfly/dna, but the x+ is just a spec bump. I think my phones still a flagship phone. Still one of the best out there :)

Hey don't get me wrong, I like my HOX, (its why I want the update) but HTC were incredibly long in releasing this to the UK market (thats if its out?) So for their "Big" phone why not look after customers a little better. All Inquries made to them (by me) were given a "stock" answer which said absoloutly nothing....

If you go back and read a few pages back, there are some very insightful comments about the update development process. But to some it up (in my own words) HTC could either
  1. Tell customers a date and face harsh criticism if they missed it, or be forced to put out a buggy update to hit the date they said
  2. or be very vague until they had it ready, and then release it.
In my opinion, I would rather them go with the second one, since it is more likely to ensure a good update. It's a lesser of two evils situation to be sure.

Hi all,

I've lurked around here for a while hoping to hear news of the JB update and today decided to send a message to @HTC_UK in hope of some clarification. I received this in reply

@strev_123 If you have an unbranded device you should be getting the update in the following days

Still a "how longs a piece of string" kind of answer but sounds promising.... :\

Just spoke to Orange on the phone, what a waste of my time no time frame at all he said that S III is postponed until feb and we could be anytime from now and until there or maybe longer... Did express my dissatisfaction of orange not providing any updates unless you prod them... He did say they are planning on texting people updates.... Wait to see!

in case anyone is curious, just tried the check update button on a carrier-locked AT&T model... no dice. not that I'm surprised by that. I'm starting to hate carriers.

Around 2 hours ago @htc_uk tweeted this.

HTC can confirm that starting from 5th December we will begin to roll out the Android 4.1 software update on the HTC One X across the...

You'd struggle to describe that as useful. Perhaps they're new to Twiter.

There communication is awful and something they should be ashamed of. I had a top of the range phone and they have abadoned me.

I've got the JB update last week. And just wanted to check with the rest of you - I am the only1 experiencing A Lot lower in-call volume??? It's pretty much impossible to hear what people are saying even while I'm driving a car. Unless I use a headset. I've tried rebooting, maxing the volume and etc.. Still looks like the sound is coming from the other end of forrest.

I haven't noticed a difference after I updated to JB.
So working fine here.....

does someone else with a carrier-locked AT&T model wanna call them and needle for information? I contacted HTC but they basically told me it's in at&t's hands now (either a good or a really bad thing)

But since i'm on a family plan on at&t and I don't know our login I can't get into any of the AT&T customer service stuff.
