Where's JellyBean???

Either or would do it, an RUU would probably be easier actually.

If you're going for the nandroid way, what version is that? You'd need to flash the recovery that matched that version.

When I do 'fastboot getvar version-main' I get 2.17.771.3 so that's ver 2.17 required then? Can't seem to find an RUU so probably will go the other roue.

Been poking about on XDA and it seems my carrier won't be releasing JB until mid January lol (3 UK). Ah well. Thanks for Your help :)

@El_Presidente does that mean I can install a 2.17.401 nandroid since my device is international without bearing in mind the CID or HBOOT version?

Got a replacement One X back from Vodafone on Christmas Eve.
Updated to Jelly Bean via ota when I got home and whilst everything is much smoother, the biggest differences so far are no compact qwerty and battery life. Using power saver and had over 40% left when I went to bed after midnight last night from about 8.30! :D

Wow, that was quick! They're normally months behind everyone else. I'll revert to stock so I can update my hboot over the next few days I think.

Thanks for the heads up. :)

looks like Orange have stopped installing loads of crap on their roms too then at last. Makes picking an unbranded one less attractive if thats the case.

They've changed the browser icon to the old Orange one & I've noticed an appointment called "best deals" which I've disabled without opening. Apart from that it looks pretty standard.

HTC have just released another smaller update which contains bug fixes and enhancements, have you installed that?

Also, try turning off Google Now if you haven't already.

Ok I'll try that. Can you give me any details on the update? There isn't an update available when I check in the settings.

After a small update last night, I got the JB update tonight. Just installing it now. I have an Optus branded One X in Australia. CID 001.
