You'd need to restore the stock recovery before the update would install. You'd probably lose root too, but that's easy enough to get back.
Need to get an RUU then?

Either or would do it, an RUU would probably be easier actually.
If you're going for the nandroid way, what version is that? You'd need to flash the recovery that matched that version.

A factory reset hasn't solved the problem :S Any more suggestions?Try doing a hard re-set. It could improve the battery life. After all this was a major update.
Cheers.

Wow, that was quick! They're normally months behind everyone else. I'll revert to stock so I can update my hboot over the next few days I think.
Thanks for the heads up.![]()
Maybe att will get it after the new year.
Has anyone tried calling and asking or contacting them on twitter?
HTC have just released another smaller update which contains bug fixes and enhancements, have you installed that?
Also, try turning off Google Now if you haven't already.
Ok I'll try that. Can you give me any details on the update? There isn't an update available when I check in the settings.
Thanks. My One X is unbranded, HTC_044 - from Singapore. I'm going to be glued to the software update button now lolHere you go: http://androidforums.com/htc-one-x-xl/666954-new-update-after-jelly-bean-3-14-401-31-14-19-mb.html
It's only unbranded handsets at the moment though.
Can't blame HTC on this one. It's all on at&t!
Oh I totally blame AT&T, not HTC. I meant contact AT&T. HTC has actually told me that it's out of their hands now since they sent it to AT&T.
