Help Where's My ROM?

I have a DigiLand DL1010Q, which I know at this point is a discontinued model. I'm looking to root it so I can make some system repairs. But I don't know where I can get a copy of the latest ROM, in case I somehow screw everything up. Does anyone know where I can get it, or better yet, a direct download link?

Yeah, looking through Digiland's site there's little of substance as far as factory ROMs for their devices, but as a side note iFixit does have repair guides posted and a troubleshooting section for the DL1010Q:

Hopefully someone will chime in with some valid sources. Maybe you might be able to fix things up using Xposed?

5.1, you say? I did research, it should support it. But I asked the devs a while back, they said they wouldn't roll out an upgrade to 5.1. But they also said I'm allowed to upgrade it myself, if I can find a compatible ROM. With it being a lesser-known model, and app devs don't see it in their list of compatible devices, I've not had luck finding a 5.1 ROM to use.
I'm already rooted at this point. If I can find a workable 5.1 ROM, I'd rather flash it than use what I already have. Any advice on that?

It's a Mediatek MTK device, which basically means zero chance of any community developed custom ROM for it. Mediatek only makes their drivers and system info available subject to draconian NDA. Which really means they're only available to device manufacturers. And devs need those things to even make a start on a custom ROM or custom recovery.
