Root Where's the dev support?

I just got the Acer because the Asus is no where to be found. I must say I am really happy with it so far, but I need to know that dev community is supporting this. Xda doesn't have a forum for it, has it been rooted? I can't find anything yet. I probably won't hack it for some time, but I know its inevitable especially when some nice HC roms are released. So far this site seems to have the most info on it.

XDA will be creating a section for it as it was posted today from a mod. Also in the general android section of xda, there are a few people working on root.

Thanks, I see non reason to return it as long as I know there is developer support. The Asus has a great following, hoping this is the same for the Acer.
