Which android smartphone for T-Mobile should I get?

As of right now, I would have to say the Nexus S.

Specs are pretty good, no bloatware which is nice, first to updates (only phone to have Android 2.3 Gingerbread as of right now).

Really indecisive, aren't we. Can't blame you.

Need to answer questions like that of the above.

1. Do you want a physical keyboard, yes or no?

2. Do you want vanilla Android or is layered Android fine with you, yes or no?

3. Is having the latest OS a must with you, yes or no?

4. Are you okay with the Samsung brand?

5. Are you okay with the HTC brand?

6. Are you okay with the LG brand?

7. Are you okay with the Motorola brand?

Extremely indecisive...I'd like to have a physical keyboard but it's not a make or break type thing...and as far as the system software I just want the best and the fastest...I'm ok with all brands except for nokia haha

I would say the Nexus S, but I'm biased.

Nexus has a couple of technical glitches to get ironed out, but runs the latest version of Android with some unique future proof tech like the NFC chip and front facing camera.

The MyTouch 4G's design is a bit mish-mash, but is a solid performer. If you like T-Mobile's personal variant of Sense than this phone is for you.

The G2 is relatively close to stock Android and a very quick phone from what I hear. The only thing that bothers me is the Z-Hinge which has had some problems.

You also have the Vibrant in regular and plus versions. Obviously I would wait for the plus version.

From here on down we hit mid-range that are more affordable. Defy is super rugged and performs decently. The 3G Slide is amazingly quick for its processor. The Cliq 2 has some good specs for a cheap price. The Optimus T gets high marks on many review sites.

Then there's the bottom heap. Comet, Garminfone, Cliq XT, and MyTouch 3G if you don't have any money to spend on an Android phone.

I'd personally stay mid range or above because you'll be disappointed in Android with the low end ones and that's not a good way to start with Android.

I think your best bet is the Nexus S or the MT4G. Personally the hardware for the mytouch is a bit weird, they should have went with more square edges IMO. The Nexus looks sexy, has all the nice hardware but does not have 4G connectivi

Best and fastest may not be mutual.

In my experience, the Nexus S is still a bit glitchy. That's life on the Bleeding Edge. On the other hand, once Google resolves to take care of it, they take care of it quickly.

I don't have experience with the MT4G, but I have experience on a lot of HTC phones as a brand. They do fix things and they are diligent with OS updates. I would probably say the software on the MT4G maybe a point off from the Nexus S in version update-ness, but its more stable.

I think the others have pretty much covered the two. And yes, I do think it boils down to these two. In the end its either 4G, or faster updates. Both are very beautiful phones, though in my personal taste I like the Nexus S which I think is a piece of art but I still love the MT4G and I am a fan of it despite not owning one. You probably won't go wrong with the two. You need to go to maybe a place like Best Buy or the dealer, and feel the two. At this point, you need to make an emotional decision, decide which is more your "vibe".

I have the Cliq first edition. This by far the best cell phone I have had, I like that is has both the psychical keyboard and the touch screen keyboard. I am on the go constantly and work a rather hectic schedule at work. I am also a full time student so my Cliq allows me to keep up to date with assignments. I know some people are laughing and yes the Cliq I have is a first generation smart phone and there are others more advance and more fancy but my phone has been a God send over the last year. Cliq, HTC, droid, IPhones to me personally when you get down to basics they all just cell phones whose main function is to send and receive calls.
Just my two cents:D

I'm pretty sure you're happy with your Cliq. But then again, if you want to advise the Cliq, why not the Cliq 2? Yes, there is now a Cliq 2. And this time, its no low end phone. Looks like a Cliq, but it now has the power of the Droid 2 and just as fast. Certainly no first generation smartphone now.
