Help Which app is making my phone vibrate?

Hi all,

My phone is driving me crazy lately. It keeps vibrating -- two short, quick vibrations -- but when I pick up my phone there's no notification in the status bar. I haven't been able to work out a frequency... sometimes it happens twice in 5 minutes, sometimes it doesn't seem to happen for an hour.

I've reviewed what I thought were the most likely apps and made sure vibration is not set in their notification settings, but it's still happening, and I don't get why the app wouldn't be putting a notification in my status bar at the same time, anyway.

I've even tried deselecting the "Vibrate on Notification" setting, even though that's supposed to only force vibration when the phone is in silent mode (which it's not).

Is there an app or method out there that can let me know what app is calling the vibrate function? My search attempts have come up empty.

Thanks!

Make sure you have your apps set to allow notifications in the bar as well to help narrow it down. But I'm sure you did that already

Are you logged into Facebook on a computer and talking to anyone when it happens? I find that a lot of times when I receive a new message a notification goes to my phone but then the Facebook app realizes I've viewed it on the computer already so the notification clears on its own.

I used to get a phantom beeping notification sound without any notifications for a couple of weeks.

It turned out that it was Yahoo mail. I turned off notifications, but I didn't turn off sound notifications. So I ended up getting a sound notificaiton without a visual one...which is quite frustrating  ...until you figure it out....then it's just plain funny :p
