Hi,
I'm planning to open a website and I want my users able to read different videos formats on their tablets (Mp4, WebM, and OGV). On laptops , it's working very well and theory says that it's possible on android tablets . I think it's depending on browsers ... so I made a test online which is just to open the page.
I'd appreciate if your can tell me which Android browser is the best for you and which video format is supported.
Thank you

Problem was encoding on file (it was working well on Opera and Chrome : strange !)
So , File is updated and I suppressed the MP4 (H264/mp3) file.
From my windons7 laptop results of tests are :
Opera : 3 files displayed (video format supported)
Firefox : 3 files displayed (video format supported)
IE : 1 file displayed (MP4 video format supported)
Maxthon : 3 files displayed (video format supported)

What I would like to know is which browser to use on my tablet (Speed and support for MP4 and WebM ) ?
My tablet is : Ainol 7 Venus ... I know a cheap tablet
My tests :
AC browser : MP4 supported
Boat browser : MP4 supported
Thank you

Hello, Hello
Est-ce que quelqu'un pourrait tester sa tablette et me donner un feedback ?
merci ....
sinon je vais passer tester dans les magasins ... pas terrible

Things change ... there is a new tool for quick tests on browser
1-> Score HTML5 takes 5" (Results depend on the browser and platform)
2-> Video Formats supported by your browser (Takes less than 2' , Click to check if video is played)
3-> To test the power/reactivity of your solution for smooth surfing (Software+Hardware). Just change the number of fishes and compare results of different browsers on same platform , then test same browser on different platforms

I know a lot of people use dolphin for its certain capabilities, maybe you should check that out and see if it can play those formats.

I know I just use chrome. I have never needed to play those specific formats before though sorry.

Hi,
I just test again Dolphin and Puffin on my tablet , and for this platform, Puffin is a lot faster than Dolphin. During video test , Puffin launch/display video immediatly but not Dolphin.
Reading a newspaper on line , Puffin has fluidity and not Dolphin.
I repeat this is for my tablet and it's why a feedback of test on other tablets would be interesting.
Are they plugins for browsers on Android ?
Why this video formats ?
Just because no Royalties to pay for WebM and OGV . For OGV there is a potential issue on royalties , but not for Webm .
See link in the test to have more informations
Thanks
