Howdy t mobileers! What's up? I'm on VM with an optimus v. My data service is poor to non-existant. Thinking of coming over to t-mobile. If I did - which device should I get? I like flashing lots of different roms. Any phones that are pretty decent and have lots of active development? Thanks!

The Galaxy SII was a little slow in the ROM department but things are picking up recently. Samsung doesn't lock the bootloader and it is very easy to root. I just wish we had devs here at Android Forums like the V does.

That's the only T-Mo phone I have and can talk about but I love it. I also came from Virgin with the V. I loved the V but my SII with 4G has been heaven.

I was paying Virgin $35 a month. I'm paying T-Mobile $30 a month for 100 minutes and unlimited text/data (throttling after 5 gig compared to 2.5gb from Virgin).

I got my SGII off Craigslist for $375. You can probably get them cheaper now or wait for the S3 to come out in the next couple of weeks.

what I'm really hoping for is that the sIII comes out soon and TM does the whole free smartphone thing again. Then I can start a contract, cancel after 2 months and switch to the prepaid. They didn't do it on mother's day, but I'm hoping that father's day they do.

I am hoping that I can get the S3 also for some sale event, then I am going to sell it unopened and get the next Nexus device unlocked from Google when it is released this fall
