Which of these two 2 int Gingerbread roms do you like the best and why? I am still running Mobile_Sensei v3 with the R2D2 theme and I really like the R2D2 theme and speed of Mobile Sensei, but have given some thought to trying out one of these 2 int roms and wanted to get some input from everyone before I made the leap.

I tried Miui and it's very different, but it's got too many issues to stick with. It basically bricked my phone and I ended up SBF'ing it back to life.

I never tried MIUI, but CM7 seems like it's near perfect. There are so many options you never run out of things to tinker with. Also, I never get the random reboots on CM7 that I frequently have on Moto stock. If they can just get 720p recording to work, then it really will be perfect. Until then I just restore my 602 nandroid if I know I'll want to use that particular function.

i love miui, its a great rom, and extremely stable, and amazing battery life, but there are just not enough customizations that you can do with miui that you can with cm7, and better looking themes for cm7 as well, miui has a different looking theme for everything, and im not about that, and you cannot remove the clock, or at least i cannot lol

So, you can record video in CM7, but it is just at SD quality?

Are there any Star Wars Themes for either Miui or CM7?

CM7 (RevNumbers version) because it does everything I want and then some, plus it's fast and has good battery life; I just can't stand MIUI's interface......barfPhone (even if you install a launcher replacement, it's still prevalent in the menus.......ewww :p)

you get used to it after a while, why dont you develop a theme for it to give it a different look??? :p

I still don't understand really what 2int rom means..I would like to try cm7 cause I also am on ssm-v3 and wanted to try to load up cm7..

It is just SD quality for the camcorder at this time. The regular camera can take 8MP pictures, but the widescreen mode (basically a cropped 6MP) still has issues. Both of these problems are in CM7 as well as MIUI, so neither holds an advantage. As to a Star Wars theme, I know CM7 has a stormtrooper theme of some kind. I've never tried it out, though.

MIUI ftw... I was on CM7 by RevNumbers ans now I'm on the 1.9.23 Miui by framework43 and DXC and it is the best ROM I've ever run. I however so like the look of an iPhone... but this is sidedly different from an iPhone... it smokes my wife's iPhone4 and u get to have Widgets unlike an.iPhone... I bought an extended battery (3500 mAh) and I can run this bad boy hard all day long and still have 30 - 40% left... or go easy and run for 2 days straight... battery life far exceeds CM7.

CM7 because Google Voice works. :D I can also use my fave theme "Matted Blues" and I haven't had any random reboots or FCs. Dont get me wrong, I had MIUI for the longest time and I loved the customization and menu layouts, but the issues (GV, ringtones, etc.) were enough to get me to switch. I may go back and give MIUI another try as I see things improve with time. :)

GV now works with miui, its under third party apps or something like that, its explained in the miui thread over at rootzwiki

Ok, I have now had a chance to use both of these since I started this thread. CM is nice, but in my own opinion it is not as good as Miui. Miui is so much easier to customize, without having to hunt for everything. I like the look of Miui over CM. And if you don't like the IPhone look, there are tons of themes to change to. I would have stayed on Miui Froyo if the battery life had not been so bad. Now that Miui is on GB and the battery issue it fixed...it's Miui for me :)

Definitely prefer Cyanogenmod, you can customize everything and it is so stable/fast. I'm sure you can modify miui to make it look somewhat different but I don't want anything that is even remotely like the iphone.

Soooooo

I was missing the customiziation of Miui, so I re-flashed it. Damn, I like it a lot! So nice to be able to configure everything, I found a theme that I really like and I'm cooking. Its easy on battery and works great. I like the way it changes the styles of the menus, etc. I know, some people say it's iPhone like, and it is (with no app drawer) but I don't mind the lack of the app drawer....I put a folder on the home screen with all my non-system or Root apps in it and it works fine.

Lovin' it.

For me, the biggest draw of Miui is that it is a bit more straightforward than base Android. Yes, that makes it more similar to iPhone, but if you change the theme it looks nothing like it aside from having no apps drawer. Put on a couple of widgets and leave some blank spaces between app buttons and it's nothing like the iPhone.

The best of both worlds, IMO.

Or just run a different launcher.. at that point, it's only the menu that is a little iphone-ish
