Root Which HC Rom is Best?

Got bottle of smoke running- so far its awesome! I dont see the netflix app in the market. Do i have to sideload it? Also, the facebook app tends to crash. Are these all known bugs or is my install bad?

I spent some time on bottle of smoke last night - love it! Wow, what a difference that UI makes. Still having foreclose problems with the facebook app - anyone?

So far, the only force quit I get is from the FB app widget. I have read that fixing permissions fixes force quits, but haven't tried it yet.

i get FB force quits too. Also gallery force quits occasionally when the device boots up or wakes up.

i tried a permissions fix yesterday but it didnt work to resolve.

I tried GTAB-Comb 3.2 for a while but eventually reverted back to Cyanogen 7.0.3.
The deal breakers for me were:
could not read my 16GB micro SDHC
awkward file mounts (I put a 1GB microSD in and it mounted it at /mnt/external_sd and the internal drive was mounted to /mnt/sdcard)
camera not working

These may have been specific issues to my setup, but that's my $.02

did you check your SD Card for issues?

I have a 32gb SDHC card that works flawlessly on mine.

I never use the camera so that doesnt bother me

The new (3.3) version of GTabComb is working great. 3.2 worked really well, too, but 3.3 is a huge step up in terms of smoothness and fluidity.

Facebook force closes on all versions of Honeycomb. It used to work when I was on Vegan Gingerbread. You are better off just using FriendCaster for Facebook. It's design to work with tablets. Search for it in Market.

Yeah, friendcaster tablet is a WAAAAAYYYY beter app than the stock facebook app. The layout is far more useful on the bigger screen.

I just bought a gtab and am new to android devices. I want to change the stock tapandtab UI to something much better, but not sure which way to go. I want the ports to work, (usb and SD), I'd also like the camera, but the biggest thing for me is a good, snappy tablet interface and few to none FC. I work a lot, and don't have a lot of time to try one after the other. Any recommendations as to which ROM I should give a try?

Vegan 5.1.1 is still the most stable rom I have used, but it is Froyo(android 2.2) based. Cyanogenmod7 is the best Gingerbread(android 2.3) rom I have used and was probably my favorite overall. Both of those would do everything you are asking for. As far as honeycomb (android 3.x) roms, I have only used gtabcomb. While it is almost there, flash only works using the opera mobile browser (which I hate) and the camera does not work at all.

All 3 are snappy and don't FC much, if at all. Depending on which version of android you want to run, I would suggest one of those 3.

Is it true that none of the Honeycomb ROM's have hardware acceleration? I recently got the Gpad and tried Flashback Honeycomb, then the VEGAN Tab 7.0 - Gingerbread (both for the 1.2 bootloader), and both did a poor job with video (pixelated). I'm currently using Brilliant Corners (FroYo), which does a great job all around, especially with video (has hardware acceleration), but without the nice Honeycomb UI.
