I got $350 (I'll pay for the other $150-$200 with work money) for my birthday and I'm looking to buy a tablet. Which one out of these 4?

Motorola Xoom: Basically the "Nexus" tablet. Gets all Honeycomb updates first hand. I think the screen is fine and you can get a 32GB model for $499 at Best Buy.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer: This does get updates fast and the keyboard is super sweet, but I'm not a fan of the thickness. Price however is $550 for a tablet and you get a keyboard that extends battery life and functionality. Great deal.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1: The Sleekest and best screen out of all the tabs. I would very much like the TW UX on the Tab 10.1 that comes in a later update, but I'm not so sure on the lack of ports on this one.

Toshiba Thrive: A mixed bag in a way, some people say the screen is washed out, some say it's great! I would get this Tab for the ports and removable battery. The HDMI would come in handy at times but I don't know if I would want it that bad to sacrifice thinness.

Give me your thoughts below! :) Thanks!

Have you actually tried all of these tablets? I've always found it to be disappointing to buy onlt by spec's and reviews. The best indicator is how it feels in your hands.

As others have said, go to nearest Bestbuy, etc and try all the different tablets.
I like the Acer 500. USB ports work fine, 32gb is $500 vs 550 for Asus with keyboard. Sweet spot for me.

Samsungs UX is easy to download to a rooted tab. (I hear it's also running on some other tabs)
Take a look at all of them and see which has the best feel for you.

I'm looking to get a tablet as well. As with my phone, I'm a fan of the hardware keyboard. That's why I picked the Eee Pad Transformer. The other one I am considering is the iPad 2. I tried both and like the web browsing experience with the iPad. I personally see myself wanting to do a lot of data entry on it and I'm not that comfortable with virtual keyboards.

Im subscribing to this thread. Im looking for a tablet for school.. Im doing my masters degree in England so I would only be getting the wifi one. Im leaning heavily towards the Galaxy tab 10.1.
