Just idle curiosity really. I think most of use here use CheckROM because it's so damn good, but I was wondering if there were any (other) ICS ROMs in the pipeline that had caught anyone's attention?

I am looking for a good ICS Rom for my GS2, but I just don't seem to find something that I believe to be reliable. I kind of missed the latest releases for Galaxy S2 Roms lately. I assume I should wait for something stable and reliable, or is Checkrom good enough for daily use?
Check rom is based on gingerbread 2.3.6 KK5 and not ICS. It does have an ICS theme that you can install if you wish. I run it and it is ok.There is the Beta 5 of checkrom floating around but I don't think it is based on any of the current builds of ICS either. I was going to try out the latest ICS beta (LP6) but I have read it is actually worse than LP2 so I'll continue waiting.
I agree with Slug. In fact, I read more posts every day from forum members who are struggling to get back to Gingerbread after trying ICS.
I see no point in switching to an inferior ROM with no real developer support at this time.
I would be really surprised at not being able to get back to Gingerbread but then again, you need to know what you are doing.
As you say... you need to know what you're doing!

AndyX ROM v3.1 is definitely good for everyday use. I'd recommend it for anyone wanting ICS on their SGS2![]()
