I have ordered a G-Tab and plan to upgrade it as soon as it arrives. Hopefully, I won't screw it up when I attempt to do so! What are the differences between the TNT-lite and the Vegan tab and is one more preferable than the other? Also, what versions should I be looking for? Thanks one and all for any help you can provide me.

TnT lite and Vegan are pretty stable ROMS. I prefer Vegan because it looks more like a stock android device than say TnT lite. TnT still has some of the Stock VS TNT UI that I do not like such as the settings apk. The tnt settings does not allow other keyboards to be used unless you manually set it as a system app.
It's very minor but still it's a hassle sometimes.

So far, I've tried
VegaN 5.1.1 - my daily driver right now, with launcher pro installed it gives the best overall feel.
TnT Lite 4.4.0- It's OK, but having a android phone, I don't appreciate the non standard interface. Installing thumb keyboard was a bit of a pain.
gAdam - Non standard interface and several quirks made me get off this fast
VegaN Tab Gingerbread - Slick interface, but lack of native Gingerbread video drivers make this one no good with HD video. The same goes for any Gingerbread based rom right now.
Once you get the root process down, with nandroid b/u's, installing and switching roms becomes relatively painless. Instead of trusting mine or anyone elses opinion, give them all a try yourself. Enjoy your new toy!!
