I'm about ready to root my phone, but have a couple questions first. This forum seems to have some pretty helpful people, so I'm hoping i can get the answers to get started. Sorry if it seems a stupid question, but i have one of those refurbished units from Ting, and I'm not sure exactly which ROM i need.
When i look at the case, it says boost mobile. But on the actual phone screen, when you turn it on, it says Sprint right under the clock and battery icon.
So I'm not sure if i should go with boost, since that's what's on the hardware, or go with Sprint, since that's what's on the screen when I'm waking it up.
What are the consequences if i use the wrong one? Bricking the phone? Or just needing to re flash the other ROM?
Would it help if i told you what it says in "about phone"?
Model number: LG-LS855
Android version: 2.3.4

Kernel version: 2.6.35.7 lge@android-build #1
Build number: GRJ22
SW Version: LS855ZVC
do any of those items identify this as either Sprint or Boost?
