Which section/subsection to ask for device recommendation?

I can't find which is the 'right' section to ask for android phone recommendations when contract id up & wanna change devices

Would be the place. If you've narrowed it down to a device or two? You should go to that specific device section to see what issues might affect your decision. On the topic, it would help to say what features are important to you. For example, I wanted to have a microSD card, which excludes some otherwise very good phones (Nexus 4 and 5, HTC One). Also, carrier also limits choices (Nexus 4 and 5 not available on Verizon).
