Help Which unlocked model should I use on AT&T?

I've seen a couple model numbers out there for unlocked handsets. Is there one that will work on AT&T's LTE in the US?

The European models are region locked, so they won't work over here in the states if not activated in Europe first. That leaves you only with buying the AT&T version, and possibly the T-Mobile version if it supports it. However both will be SIM locked.

Wow so a truly unlocked version of the GN3 doesn't exist? Pretty awful.

And I'm guessing that the US carriers won't tolerate an unlocked device that's "region locked" to North America.

Plus I see that the 4.4 update may render my unlocked GN2 N7100 equality useless here on AT&T?

This turns out not to be quite true. They remain locked. They won't work in the US ever although there is a Russian site rumoured to genuinely be unlocking them.

That leaves you only with buying the AT&T version, and possibly the T-Mobile version if it supports it. However both will be SIM locked.

Is there an unlocked model that I can use in the US? If so, which one?
