While waiting on my X.....

.....I'm seeing what apps I want to try out. Too bad Android Market doesn't do what AppBrain allows you to do!

So here's a list that I've gathered. Is there anything that anyone recommend I try out?
My List to Download

13 total, 12 free (92%), 1 paid (7%), 12MB total size, $1.99 total price

That's something I plan on down the road once I'm familiar enough with blur to puth Launcher through its paces to see if I like it better than blur.

Fair enough. That's what I did. I was anti launchers until I really dug into lp and started customizing the dock and icons. lol I found that I got too attached to the stock ui to lose the widgets, that I had my phone loaded with. especially my dinc. But I have a clean look going on with lp now that looks awesome.

Definately Launcher Pro, Dolphon Browser, QuickDial, Zedge Wallpapers and Ringtones, Quick Settings, Score Mobile and Poynt.

Have fun!

Gee that's a short list. I must have found 150 apps/games I wanted to try before I got my HTC Eris. Unfortunately the Eris didn't have the memory the Droid X does. I've got 115 apps (see my signature) on my Droid X and have used just over 1.2Mb of the 7Mb available on the phone.

Just browse the forums and see what people are talking about. And don't be afraid to go ahead and download from the Market. If it's a paid app, you have 24 hours to decide if you want to keep it. If you decide you don't want to pay for it, just uninstall within 24 hours and you will be issued a refund. You only get to do this once per app though. If you buy it again...it's yours.

My short list of must try apps:
Google Sky Map
Speedtest.net
Barcode Scanner
Soundhound or Shazam or VCast Song ID
Vignette demo
Layar Reality Browser
My Tracks

Games:
Abduction!
Blow Up Lite
Flight Director Lite

Have fun and enjoy your new Android phone. I've been an Android fan since January 2010 and I'm still amazed at all the things I can do with my phone!
