White Line Across Lock Screen

Took about 2 and a half days, but mine just got this line on the lock screen too. I'm almost positive this line wasn't there until just now.
 
this is hilarious, I just registered to ask about the white line... just noticed it this am, but like others, I never noticed it before... oh well, the phone works fine :D but i kinda wished it was not there....
 
Everybody needs to calm down. The white line appears when the alien has successfully invaded your vital systems. :eek:
 
Mine showed up the first time I used the wall outlet instead of pc to charge it, don't really care as it doesn't effect anything.
 
Does Google secretly push updates to devices? I didn't notice it appearing but enough people have said they noticed the difference to warrant questioning.
The line appears such that it's supposed to be there by design. It looks to be cleanly demarcating the upper third of the screen from the lower two-thirds in portrait, and upper half from the lower half in landscape in an alpha channel. If it were a stark white line, I would be more worried.
 
Guys, please. The line is a part of the design of the lock screen. This type of nonsense will scare people away from buying maybe one of the best phones ever developed. This is the first time 3 major players (Google, Verizon and Motorola) all sat down and designed an incredible phone and the proof is in the pudding, a great phone with a few minor bugs.

Please put your anger towards the corporate fascists (like health insurance companies & Microsoft) who are stealing our country from under our noses!

Now that I've looked at it I think this is more likely the case. It does make sense that its below the date and time. Still, it was pretty jarring to have it appear suddenly like that, I about had a damn heart attack. I am 100% sure it wasnt there earlier today but in retrospect it doesnt really harm anything.

Also, when you look closely the line is actually opaque, not white like dead pixels. It seems more or less intentionally made.
