Help White line?

just dropped it, has case and screen protector on
seems okay
but have got screen lock on with the pattern and above the pattern and below the clock and date there is a white horizontal line
can someone tell me if they also have this or whether its cos I dropped my phone?

is there anyway I can take a photo of it on my phone to show you?

All SGS2 phones can take a screenshot by pressing both the home key and the power button at the same time. I know there were some issues with a faint line on the screens of some Galaxy S2 Skyrockets, but I haven't heard of the issue on the i9100.

If the line stays in the same position, even when the screen rotates to landscape it is a defect and most likely needs to be repaired or replaced. A mild impact shouldn't cause that sort of problem unless the connection on the screen was marginal to begin with. If you dropped it from a meter onto a soft surface, with a case and screen protector, I'd think the warranty should cover it. If you dropped from 2 or three meters onto concrete ...

Is it ONLY on the lock screen?

its also one of the many lines on my settings display separating all the different sections and also in security it is one of many lines in that section too, just seems that one is only on the lock screen. its more profound on the lock screen

is it anything to worry about?

does the line rotate if the screen rotates? If it does, then it's nothing to worry about. If it doesn't then it's a screen defect.,

the line doesnt move on the lock pattern screen (nothing does when I turn it) but moves fine on the 2nd photo

I wouldn't worry about it then. It seems like something in the lock screen only and not part of the physical display.

I've had that white line since the start. Maybe you just didn't notice it before. Of course there might be some settings in there that specifies whether to have these lines, but either way, its normal.

Looks like it's just there to seperate the widgety items of the lockscreen, note that it sits exactly between today's date and tomorrow. I imagine it would look strange without it.

As Gearu says it's there to serve a purpose, it's not an actual problem, it has been there as long as I can remember and. This guide "What is the white line on a Samsung Galaxy S2 pattern lock screen?" explains it in full.

So stop worrying You probably just didn't notice it originally.
