Root Who clears dalvic cache/cache regularly?

Back on my evo I would need to clear dalvic and cache partition every couple of days or the phone would start to lag and the battery life would start to deteriorate. With this phone though there is absoluetly no lag whatsoever! But I may be noticing a slight decrease in battery life. Would you guys suggest wiping regularly to keep this from happening?

I don't think a slight decrease in battery life is caused by big caches... lag yes battery life probably not.

I use an app called CacheMate once or twice a week. It's a couple of bucks in the market, but it's a lot quicker and simpler than booting into recovery, going through the menus, wiping both caches, then backing out and rebooting. Small amounts don't have much effect, but sometimes it clears out up to 8 megs; in those cases the phone does seem a little smoother and/or snappier. I don't know if it helps battery life.

Only clear that stuff if i'm flashing a ROM

Never. I have an Evo 4G running CM7 and I never have to clean cache. Works like a champ. You must have been running a bad ROM or the stock HTC ROM which must have been bloated.

On this phone you should have to clean cache either.
