so i picked up the note when it came out for att and its taking some getting used to. im talking about the os. Still not a fan. Now all the sudden random BS apps are popping up on my phone and BS alerts saying i won something, keep popping up. Also, i noticed i get a shit load of spam now. android sucks, Google sucks. good day.

Sounds like you downloaded some "questionable" apps. Find them and remove them. I guess Android isn't for everyone.
 
why would Google allow questionable apps in their app store? I've begun deleting recently downloaded apps...what a pain in the neck.
 
I'm also new to Android. The Galaxy Note is my very first Android phone and I feel pretty much at home with it. It did take some time getting used to it though. But I came from PalmOS, Windows Mobile and Symbian s60v5 (I skipped the iPOS and BB altogether).

If anything, I learned that free apps tend to have ads put in to help support the program. But then there are some very small instances where paid apps are being sneaky about it too. I generally try going with paid apps to avoid the ads. But even that seems dodgy.

I've already done a hard reset once only to clean up the mess I started when rampantly downloading, installing and uninstalling apps. I plan to do another hard reset soon as I'm still playing around with it. :rolleyes:

because there are a lot of apps to monitor? if you find a bad app report it, and my uncle had the same problem when he first got his android phone, but he also found out the ability to watch porn on the internet...and he also downloaded a ton of apps from the market that were "porn apps."

if they're overwhelmed with apps, they should put them on a waiting list until they have tome to go through them to make sure they're safe. like a certain app store we all know about.....im gonna give you a thumbs up cause i didn't know there were porn apps. :D

apple lets a few bad apps slip sometimes also, but google is ALOT faster at publishing apps... and ;) have fun
