Who else is outraged?

I sold my Droid X on Ebay which i have to ship out on Monday. I set the ebay transaction to coincide with same day i was to pick up my new HTC Thurnderbolt. Best Buy rep told me $599.00 & that i could get the TB on Monday 2/14/11 - I double and triple checked all last week and was told the same thing by at least 6 different Best Buy employees. Now i have over 400 transactions with Ebay at 100% positive rate. In order to keep my rating perfect i have to ship the Droid X tomorrow. I use my phone for work so i cannot go without a phone. The last time i checked with Best Buy was Friday night and they told me to come early Monday to pick up the HTC TB. I have not called since and was assured Friday it would be their so it may get ugly in at Best Buy in Kingsport TN

I did the same thing. I'm just going to rent a droid x from bb until the TB comes out and return it. F BB.
 
lmao wow you sold your phone before you got an official release date of the new one! no where in writing have i seen the 14th from HTC or VZW.
 
tough to get outraged over a phone that has no confimred price or release date. The only outrage I feel is that best buy has my 50 bucks and I have nothing to show for it
 
Hey, just for giggles I went into the corporate Verizon store today while I was in the mall shopping. I asked the young sales lad when he expected to be selling the T-bolt. He told me that they had no launch date for this and were only being told "sometime in the second quarter." You gotta love it. :p

Oh, one suggested way to keep ourselves entertained while wading through all the release dates? I've been contemplating how much I'll be enjoying all the T-bolt features once I get it. And I'm hoping that Verizon customer service will have video chatting on their end as well. I'm thinking that whenever I call them it will add much more depth to the conversation if they can see my gesturing. ;)

Why wait until release date (when everyone else is putting thiers on ebay) when you can "rent" a Phone and exchange it for the TB. At least now I have 4 hundies in my pocket when Verizon releases the damn phone. Glad you got a laugh out of it. (easily amused, I see):cool:
 
If really $750, folks that already have an Inc or Droid X that pay full retail are rich or nuts. Either case, no harm no foul ;)

Glad I got my iPod 64gb now. The apps on that and my Incredible will tide me over until at discount point. 750 is nuts for an 8255 chipset based device. HTC and VZW are bending folks over and thrusting with this retail price.

Unless it's in writing that the release date is the 14th, you won't have a case against anyone....... Things get ugly at BB, and we might be seeing you on youtube, getting dragged out by the cops.... :rolleyes:

Just go in and "rent" a phone from BB until the 24th, when it's "rumored" to be released.

Go get a phone from Best Buy, any phone...you have 30 days to return it.
With all the drama and hoopla about this phone and it's release date...NO WAY I'd take a good working phone (which was my money maker/bread winner) and ship it off on the chance my new phone will be in.

No offense, but you can scream at everyone in the store until you're blue in the face and security and/or the cops drag you out...but that's not going to get you a phone they don't have/can't sell you...period.

At least if they put you in a holding cell...you get one phone call...free....
 
I just left Best Buy in Kingsport and they stated that according to their paperwork that today is still the day. They are waiting on the truck to arrive today and would call me when it gets their. I think they have no clue what is going on! I will up date you later today.
 
If today was indeed the day they would not ship the devices to arrive today and be offloaded in the afternoon....

It probably is the 24th :mad:
 
If the Thunderbolt was coming today, wouldn't it be in be in the BB circular (It's not)?
The shifting on the date may have been due to Skype or whatever that they thought may not get done for awhile, then found a fix and so a slight delay.
 
And other bb employees have said they get special "drop" shipments on Saturday. And I've seen no posts that such "drop shipments" actually arrived. Disappointing.
