Who got the update??

I received the update this morning, I see lots of different things on the appearance of the pages. I also had to reconfigure my home scene, it went back to the default scene. That is a PIA!

Other than that no difference in performance ect. I don't have the "50% bug" or battery issues so for me this was just to make the phone look different.

Got it at 8:30 this am. Seems to be running fine, dialer seems to be a bit snappier. Never had silent call bug. 50% is still here though. I did the RUU coming from Leak1. It is nice to know that I can get otas now. Was wondering if I ever would since I jumped the gun on the first leak. Will probably run this for a while and then maybe root.

Just got mine - Rochester, NY. Just hit about 10AM. I wonder if it has something to do with battery level since I didn't have it until after I charged my phone for a bit. Not going to bother with factory reset since 50% issue not fixed.

Running 2.1v3 - non-root

----other info all the same except below ---
PRL version
51920

ERI version
5

Got mine this morning around 10am but clicked later because I was in bad coverage. Does anyone have any idea how to get it to load? I have no idea where it stored it. Went to check for update and it says up to date, but i'm still on the old version of 2.1

Still no update....got the first update before it was stopped....does that mean I won't get the current update? Not rooted or leaked.

Please explain what you mean by "50% issue."
I've seen several references to it, but don't know what you are discussing.
Thanks.

Why does it seem that I'm the last to get these updates? I bought my Eris in the middle of November, just a few weeks after it was released, and I always seem to be one of the last to get the updates. Not that I'm complaining, it just seems to me that this update process is totally random. It doesn't appear to be location-based or date-of-purchase-based, so how do they decide who gets these updates when? Does anyone know of a way to get the updates earlier, other than downloading a questionable file to put on the phone? I guess that would be the way Verizon distributes anything... just get it out to the people, no matter who or when as long as they get it.

I read all of your posts and tbhere hasn't been an answer yet about the all important question of what this does for people that did the leak and already have the 2.1. Had to do a hard reset when I did the leaked version and reinstalled everything. Haven't had any problems since.

I got the update and cannot get rid of the message. Wondering If I should just press Install and get it overwith. Will it make my loose everything (apps)?? I don't want to go through the game of reinstall again....

It'll take a few minutes, you will not lose any apps or contacts, you probably won't even tell what changed.

I was on leak also by the way.

It is a "bug" that says your time without signal is 50%. My phone has it and has always had it. Some folks say it affect battery usage. I think it is just a display error personally but then again I don't know an awful lot about our phone.

You should not lose anything!

I didn't have any bugs... until I installed the update...

Now I have the 50% signal bug and the silence bug...

I got the update this morning. I was half asleep and clicked install. It rebooted and I fell asleep and when I woke up my phone was booted up and running. I don't notice any differences. I still have the 50% bug and I don't notice any changes otherwise. It's as if I've never gotten the OTA. I think software version numbers were listed in this thread, and maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but I can't find them. How can I check to see if it actually installed or not?

Got it this morning, went very smooth, I don't really notice any change, good or bad. Did not cause any issues like the update to 2.1 did.

Thanks for the answers. I got backup pro an installed that (JUST in case!), backed up ad installed the update. I was very nervous!!! lol

Yes, I don't notice any difference (yet!), and everything seems to be still there. It went well.

So what is the 2.2 update? :)

I got the update a few days ago and I think it did solve the lag and silent calls also I went to dial immediately after I finished a call and the buttons started to lock up but just as fast they continued on at least for me it seems to have worked. also if you factroy reboot with an e-mail carrier other than google like i do I lost my ability to receive e-mail and had to call my carrier to figure it out it was giving me an error message that read cannot connect with your e-mail server to verify you password. I did finally get the problem resolved
