Who is NOT having issues?

I currently have an Optimus V and I love the thing. However, the larger screen of the Triumph as well as the faster processor pushed me to upgrade.

I haven't received the Triumph yet, but I'm a little worried since there seems to be so many posts about issues people are having.

However, I also realize that you hear more feedback when things go wrong than when things are working fine.

So my question: Who here has phones that work perfectly or near-perfectly? And if you're coming from the Optimus, was it a good choice to upgrade?

Edit: Also, how is the video recording? I've taken a few clips with the Optimus and the video is fairly choppy. Is it the same with the Triumph? I realize it's a higher resolution but that doesn't mean it's going to be smoother.

Thanks.

I seriously regret buying the Triumph. I know not everyone has problems with this phone. But the GPS is a huge issue for me. I need it for work and the GPS on my phone works less than 90% of the time. I have had the store look at it, they have had VM do data resets on it etc etc. My phone is just unstable. I never had these problems with my Optimus.
I hope you still have your Optimus, I sold mine, BIG mistake. If I could get my money back for this phone I would in a heart beat.

Yeah, I still have my Optimus. But I'm completely happy with the Triumph.

I rarely if ever use the GPS, so it's not an issue for me (although the few times I've tried it, it worked without issue). I'm more into gaming, so the larger screen, faster CPU and GPU make the Triumph a huge upgrade for me.

I swapped from Rumor Touch to Triumph almost a week ago. The antenna seems weak, but other than that, no problems.

I got one a few days before it was released and had lots of problems with it. I ended up returning it and going back to Verizon for a couple of weeks. After being convinced to try the MT again (and stay a little more fiscally responsible), I bought the MT again the other day, and this device is night and day better than the first one. I've had zero GPS issues, 3G is normal for Virgin - sometimes bad sometimes good, but my signal holds well. I haven't tested taking videos, but even the top tier/brand new Motorola phones' cameras kinda suck, so I don't expect much. Battery life as a whole isn't great, but I can get through a day - especially with juice defender. It's definitely running longer than my first unit. I'm much happier with my 2nd unit than my 1st one, for sure...

Let me also bring out my giant piece of wood and knock on it now... ;)

Keep in mind that Best Buy (if you got it there) only accepts returns and exchanges 30 days after purchase date unless you have the protection plan, so if you are outside that window you'd have to send it to Motorola or use your VM phone insurance to get a replacement.

No, VMU offers a 1 yr warranty, they will ship you a new one, and you ship the old one back

I've still got mine from 7/14, and still no problems... the _038 version too...

I got mine on 7/18 and have yet to have a problem with it. I'm not a heavy user but I use it everyday to do everything from streaming TV and radio, talking on Skype, Tango and Virgin Mobile, using the GPS, taking video and pictures, surfing the web, to generally just using it as a small tablet.
Aside from the battery and signal strength - which is pretty good everywhere but my house - I'm extremely happy with the MT. Mine also runs v.038.
