Who is your favorite carrier?

for prepaid i think virgin mobile is best,

for postpaid i really like verizon but they are so appley with there prices.

i had the original droid with the 450min + 15$ data plan and it was great service.

but now verizons cheapest data plan is 30$ WHY??? :(

do you think they will ever go down to a 10, 15, or even a 20$ data package again? cuz think about it, 40 for 450 mins + 30$ for data is 70$ right there. :(

but i always liked t-mobile, u can find great deals on their phones and even if their network isnt as fast as verizon advertises i dont care. they alwyas keep good prices, i am loooking now and see that they offer a 10$ data package! (i dont need much data sicne i usualy just rock wifi)

what is the cheapest way to set a post paid cellular acount and still get the benefits of android?

im thinking, 450min plan + 15$ data plan at least, but should i also get unlim text for 10$? (cuz tbh i hear u can use google voice for free txting) and what about insurance? do most people get it?

I have phones with all of the major networks, and as far as customer service, it goes like this imo;
1st is a tie between Sprint and T-mobile. Both have been very helpful and appreciative of my patronage.
2nd is definately Verizon, although some of their reps are a bit snippy sometimes, they are always knowledgable, and capable.
3rd and last is AT&T, because their representatives are usually snippy, and their managers are worse. Even when you call customer service and get a friendly rep, they often haven't been trained well enough to help you with your problem.

As far as phone choices, that is a different ballgame.
1st is probably going to be Verizon in phone choices. They haven't always been on top, but in the past couple of years they have gotton so much better.
2nd is a tie between Sprint and AT&T, as they both have a fair amount of phone choices, no matter your preference.
3rd and last is T-mobile. It just seems like they have given up on trying to keep up with the others. JMO.

As for network coverage and price, that is much easier.
1st is always Verizon although you do pay the price for their extensive network, and data. Expensive, but most effective. They lead in effective 4G coverage as well.
2nd has to be Sprint. Their coverage is pretty much everywhere, except in the mountains where we camp sometimes, and they have the best plan prices and data prices, hands down!
3rd is AT&T. They have fairly good coverage almost everywhere, but they are the most expensive on plans and data,so not my favorite.
4th and last has to be T-mobile. Although their prices are pretty fair, they are so behind in coverage, and technology, imo.

Am I the only one who thinks that combining the threads of "homeless" and "favorite cell service carrier" is confusing, and even comes off as somewhat insensitive?

Of course not my friend ;)

I do agree with you,

But I think in this particular situation this person needs just a little but of a tender, caring and helping hand :)

Hell we all do at times.

I for one get help all the time.

I am sure you have asked for some one's help many times before in the past as well.

If you have never asked for help in your life then you are 120% perfect. And thats a lie right there.

And no body is perfect.

It is just the way some of you are approaching it.

You guys need to really stop arguing it is not going to help any one and this person really might need our help.

P.S. I am not attacking anyone, I just want people to stop arguing and help the person who really needs it the most.

No, Stinky, I think you don't understand.
There are actually two threads running here, and it makes very little sense when read chronologically.
I wouldn't understand that either, except that I happen to have posted to both threads, and they just don't belong together, imo.

Stinky, I thought I too, saw a different post aboit something not having to do with the OP's concerns... It wasnt your ost... That first video was great.. Sometimes music can reach the inner person when words alone may not....

What 2 threads are you talking about?

What other thread?

I am confused I thought this was the only thread?

There is the original thread about the depressed young man who wants a phone, and then there is another one about your favorite cell phone carrier. It is easy to miss the very first post with the different title "favorite cell carrier" but the posts are all mixed together, and it makes no sense. I hope one of the mods seperates them again, because it is very distracting, and unfair to both of the original posters.

Now that I look even closer, Sento is the original poster of both threads, so maybe he can sort it out. At least I hope so.:(

Hmm okay I think I see where you are comming from,

I am going to search quickly and PM you for full details.

Just incase I will not post anything here just incase untill I have not got the full picture...

I hope this is not what I think it is.

I hope at least.

Verizon because of the coverage.

Sprint because of the prices. Has good coverage too, not far behind from Verizon. (When I group up and leave my parent's Verizon contract, I plan on going with Sprint)

Virgin Mobile because of the name.

All my cell carriers are awful with customer service..I had been with majority of them in the course of owning a cell.

i like MetroPCS its nothing special service wise but reps are cool and they have stepped it up wit the esteem i h te admre anis at littlphoe cant wa for a recovery/mod

I've always liked this one, never forget the name; Enterprise. ;-)

It's China Mobile, costs me around 20-30 yuan(RMB) a month, pre-paid, also has great coverage.

China Unicom has crap coverage in rural areas and China Telecom is a CDMA/EVDO network, which doesn't work with my Galaxy S. Although I do use China Telecom CDMA/EVDO for wireless data with my laptop.
