That's a problem with a lot of the after market covers, plus most have a hump at the bottom that makes finding a case impossible. I purchased a generic from eBay and the battery works fine, more importantly the cover is extended the full length so that an aftermarket Trexcell tpu case will fit. Just check out the listings for the full extended cover, got mine from a US seller for under $ 10, same for the tpu case.

You got any pics?

Oh, I thought you were looking for that. My bad, sorry. I would highly suggest amazon though, they have a LOT of extended batteries and whatnot I've noticed.

You're Laza battery is compatible with the cover and this is the only extended cover that accepts a case besides the very expensive Seidio line. I've been using both for months with absolutely no complaints. Plus you can't beat the price from a US seller, get your goods in less than a week instead of waiting for the slow boat from China. :p

I'll update when it gets here:D

I bought the Seidio 4000maH battery, cover and the extended Convert holster and Surface case screen protector combo. Add in a 32gb chip and I was right at $100.

Just want the GPS mount for the car now from Seidio that holds it in the case...another $40 though...

It's definitely a step up from the normal tpu cases, like I posted earlier it's more plastic than rubber so it should hold up pretty well without stretching. Also the battery cover is better than the usual ones with the hump, that one started cracking almost immediately..

I ended up getting this cover and battery:
1
3500mAh Extended Battery Black Hard Back Door Cover Case for HTC EVO 3D Sprint | eBay

and since I'm using the Laza battery, I have no clue if the China battery even works - lol ... But thanks for the great advice. I love the feel of the cheap cover and having a case option is just another plus.

Ranhead, would you mind doing me a huge favor and try the chinese battery and see if it works? Thanks.

No problem ...... I put it in tonight. It showed a charge of 78% and after about 5 minutes on the charger it now shows 82%. I will charge it up all the way tonight. Use it tomorrow, and then report back here tomorrow night. :D

After leaving it on the charger all night, I used the cheap battery today...

Pretty impressive, considering the stock battery was in the 40% at the end of the day.

That is impressive. Once it's calibrated it will do even better I bet. Wish mine would have worked. Thanks for the information. I think I'm going to try the same seller you got yours from. I just don't see paying the extra price if it works.

My 2 el cheapos are working fine, communicate with the seller that your having issues and if you get no joy file a complaint with ebay buyers protection. It doesn't cost anything and if nothing else it makes it more difficult for fraudulent sellers to continue.

I'm thinking of getting an extended battery and was wondering what do you guys recommend that has a case and belt holster that isn't seidio.

The only non Seidio extended case that I'm aware of is just a tpu cover that only fits the flat extended backs, without the hump on the bottom and there is no holster available. I personally use the Seidio Active Combo with a few spare batteries but when I don't want to be bothered I use the extended tpu. Considering the cheap route is about $20 compared to about $100 or more for the Seidio Extended Combo with battery, it's up to you to decide if the ability to wear your extended setup on your hip is worth the price.
