Root Who wants miui

Boraichee

I already have there source code on my pc as my girlfriend wanted me to port miui to ascend. If people want it ill put in the time to build miui for admire. So Anyone?

i wouldn't mind trying it... I have never used a miui rom on any previous phone, but it has sounded cool.

Sounds good to get miui.. but it would be nice to see some devs help out requisite0 finish up cm7 with a nice beta release... just saying... but my hat is off to you for porting a miui rom to the admire and good luck! :D

Ill p.m requisite0 and see if he would like my help. I havent talked with him since I asked for his help with my cm7 port.

Definately! That would be awesome. I just set up a build environment, and got everything working nicely, so if you ever need help let me know. :D

wouldnt it make sense to focus on cm7? seeing as miui is LITERALLY nothing but a themed cm7? (you use the same files)

I think that's why I said what I said... I may not know much about building and porting but I can read! :p

Just thought it would make more sense to put these masterminds heads together.. conquer one together... conquer them all! :D

Besides I knew miui and CyanogenMod were cousins! :D:p

I was going to use stock as a base. Check out there github the code is way different then cm. Alot of people use cm as a base for miui but you dont have too. I also im going to help out with the cm project. My cm port is dead now but thanks to all the other devs who have put time into the project, we are that much closer to a clean rom.

no their "source" is for their apps, you still build off of cm source and use teh device files, its just their apps have been swapped in for it. hence why they are going for the "open source" because no one takes them as a serious rom :/

Shhh. Shhhhhhhh. It's okay. Go back to doing things of actual import.

That is not how you build miui at all check out there patch rom. They fully support porting to new devices and say it is best not to use cm or even an aosp build. In there own readmes they say stock is best. Also its not just apps. The framework in a miui rom is nothing like stock android. Miui is like giving you phone a face lift.

Yo @SamsungAdmire if u want a htc look for the launcher go to 4shared.com and type lp sense for the clock go to the same place n search lp sense clock widiiget and Flash the htc theme by metronoob on

I've been waiting for someone to port MIUI since they released the source code, you port it to the Admire, a lot of people would flash it.

Do we have any links to see where you got your references from?
