WHOA - Camera eating my battery?

So I just used my camera for less than 5 minutes and here is what battery use reads:

6h33min since unplugged

Camera 66%
Android system 9
Cell Standby 9
idle 8
wifi 3
display 3
calls 2
etc..

Is this normal?

How does everyone elses camera consumption compare?

My battery is @ 53%

the camers does use a lot of battery. i noticed this yesterday. i used my camera for maybe 10-15 minutes and it was at the top of the list for the rest of the day.

The camera does use alot of battery, I noticed it rather high myself. But then again 8mp is pretty high quality, and well high quality eats battery. That's kinda the motto for this device here.

Saw this too last night. Only shot a few pics. I think the dual LED flash is no battery slouch either.

LED shouldn't have a huge drain on battery. I'm wondering if it doesn't close properly and continues to drain battery after the user thought it was ended.

Can't be it. I checked the "battery use" breakdown just moments after I snapped some pics. A little bit ridiculous.
