Who's getting a Note 3?

Yeah I'd prefer it that way as well, but it's so nifty I wanted to try it anyways.

How is it so far? I've always been curious about Sony phones, but they have never ventured into offering on Sprint.

If Sammobile ends up being correct and the 64gb is offered on Sprint, I will likely upgrade. If only 32gb, I may wait for a great deal or wait for note 4 that will hopefully be the first flexible/folding screen.

Dont do it. Its not even close to the SGN2. The only big thing about the mega (notice the lower case), is the bigger screen. Im waiting for the SGN3 or Note 2 rebuild.

I really enjoy it. Only thing I might miss is the pressure sensitivity on the s-pen and the hover over feature, but I don't use that sort of thing often anyways. The build quality feels fantastic and I love that it's waterproof. Also using a ps3 controller natively is just badass.

I'm going from a Note 1 to it. I don't want to afford a "high end" or Note 3/4 at this point...

I'm going to buy the Note 3 based on principal. The early signs point to the GN3 being better than the GN2 in every way, and by big margins in most areas. I don't feel like Samsung took any shortcuts on this phone and it shows in the improvements in pretty much every area. They also addressed issue I never would have even complained over, but really wanted, like the ability to write a note and then dial someone from it, that's HUGE for me. And saving to contacts from the notes, also huge. The screen is bigger and better and the capacitive buttons work with the S-pen.
The only kink in the armor for the Note 3 IMO is the Note 2. The GN2 is so good, I don't feel the need to run out and buy anything else. But I'm going to because I'm pleased with the effort Samsung put into the Note 3. And as long as they continue this trend, I'll buy the 4,5,6 etc.

Now that the details of the Note 3 are available I still see no reason for me to upgrade.
Some of the software features look nice and I assume some will make their way to the Note 2, but I think some of the hardware upgrades are paper upgrades only.

I'll make it known that I would have upgraded for the HD Display, 13 MP Camera and 8 core processor alone. Even if everything else were the same. May have even done it for the Display, Camera and S-Pen Upgrades.
The beauty of having the Note 2 is that you won't feel left behind. But the Note 3 is going to be vastly superior. But it's like having an Audi R8 and feeling like you need a R8 GT Or Having a 458 and wanting a 458 Speciale. Not needed, but just might be nice..

According to doctors and other experts the human eye can only see between 229ppi and 250ppi, so the 1080P screen won't be noticeable unless you're viewing it only an inch or so away from your face.
The 13 mega pixels on the camera mean nothing unless you're going to print and enlarge the photos. More mega pixels doesn't mean better camera.

I've come to realize that, this truly is the first year that I don't really feel that I "need" to upgrade, ever since moving over to Android from Windows Mobile.
EVO - Needed more internal storage space, due to memory issues
Photon - Had 1 more Sprint early upgrade available (prior to the new upgrade policy), but needed to upgrade as soon as all the signs were pointing towards Motorola cutting off support.
Note 2 - My only major complaint about the Note 2 was the fact that no carriers in the US got the 32gb nor the 64gb version. Even though I had no lack of storage issues on my internal for the Photon, games/files/apps were increasingly getting larger and I knew that at some point that would cause an issue for me. Having downloaded files is always a better option for me both personally and in my day job. Even though I've managed, I'm down to a little over 550mb of internal storage remaining. I could hold out for another year, to see what the Note 4 brings, but with the announcement of a minimum 32gb version being offered, I definitely have to at least pay attention. There's no question I'll get the Note 3 on release day, if the 64gb version is offered on Sprint (only hesitation will be either use an upgrade from another line or pay full retail price without contract extension).

Actually, it looks like that is where things are going at the moment. Large MP count with big enough sensor is to compensate for optical zoom. A good lens behind it and it can compete.
Barring a small miracle where Verizon would offer the nexus 5, the note 3 will most likely be my next phone. I was really hoping for a better camera, but the rest of the package looks too good to pass up. Plus, I have an upgrade available on one of my lines, so the price my note 2 should fetch on craigslist should more than cover the cost.
After reading through this and watching a few videos, I'm sold on it.
I usually don't keep my phones too long. As soon as the newer one comes out, I sell my old one and buy the newer one.
I can probably get a good amount for my Note 2, so I'll sell it and get the Note 3.

? If you own a Note or a Note 2, it is actually narrower and only a few millimeters taller. Not sure what you are limplying. Unless you never owned a Note before.

I got the Note 2 because it was much easier to grasp/hold than the Note 1. The Note 3 us even easier. Initially, i thought that the squared form factor would make it feel bulkier, but the Note 3 is SO much easier to almost wrap my fingers around it than the Note 2.
The numbers on the width and thickness understate how much easier the Note 3 is to hold. The height isn't noticable at all, which makes sense because the height is the smallest dimension change of all.

drexappeal I have to disagree a little with you.
I like the "roundness" of the Note 2 over the blackness of the new 3. The 2 slips into my pockets better.

As far as pocketability, it does feel like the squared shape makes it a little more difficult, but considering it's thinner and less wide, the tradeoff is very minimal to me.
The roundness of the Note 2 was very nice, but I just personally feel it's easier to hold. With my ultra thin case on the phone (mind you, I normally hate using cases), it feels the same as my Note 2 did without a case.

I'm concerned with the home buttons flimsy appearance and movement. I'm also worried about overheating issues. I think for me, it's better to wait until after they've had their initial release. Bugs will be ironed out shortly after. I'll also get better deals.

With the Galaxy S4 and the Note 3 I came to the conclusion that the only reason for upgrading was (to quote an earlier poster) "because I could" and to have the latest, flashiest phone. But that's pointless because the Note 2 is virtually perfect.
As for the Galaxy Gear well......I was one of the fools who bought a Sinclair Black Watch with my first ever pay packet, and like all of them it ended up in the bin
