Just a warning, if you are in the UK you WILL get a VAT bill on top of that, currently 529 USD is 343.43 GBP , so add on VAT and you come to

I would probably consider changing my HTC Hero for a Desire once the price calms down. I think the winner for me is the 3..7 inch screen. I use mine for business use and the larger screen would be a bonus.

At the moment I am using a Pulse (Dropped the G1 and smashed the screen).

The Desire looks like the best from HTC so far, which makes it possibly the best of the best! Upgrade due in June so unless something better comes along before then, it will be the Desire for me.

Except that Vodafone have already announced that they're going to be offering the N1 with contract....I still can't get a desire cheaper

All that's been announced is for Vodafone Europe. Whether that will include the UK market is anyones guess.

Now the Desire has been confirmed for all the networks here, and nothing firm on the N1, I'd say it's a clear NO to us getting them.

So looks like the only option if you want a nexus is from Google direct.

Which will be cheaper than buying a Desire, despite everyone saying the Desire is cheaper.....unless I want to get tied in to a long contract, which I don't.

For sure I will get this one. Been tempted in getting the nexus one this past few weeks. Good thing I didnt give-in to temptation. Will be waiting for this beauty to come to asia and then bye bye to my tattoo...
