Who's porting to Sprint and paying ETF?

Will radioshack honor the $100 if you port?

I have an area code I'd want changed. I guess it still applies if I port my number then change it a week later?

My wife is porting over to AT&T. She just upgraded her old phone a few months ago, since we were texting so much at the time. Still, even with EFT, will save tons of money by bringing her over to my Sprint account.

Porting from AT&T and paying $120. Going to sell my iPhone 3GS to recoup some cash. I hope I can get enough money from the sell to pay for my EFT and the Evo.

Porting from ATT and have $75 fee for final 4 months of contract ... Still saving money with the etf fee and activation fee over the next 4 months than staying with att.

I sold my 3GS for $435 and my wife's 3G for $300. That covers $400+tax for two EVOs, ETF fees from ATT. Seems I am gonna have to get the bodyglove case upon release.

I am. I got $696 for my iPhone 3GS couple weeks ago so I will be way ahead of the game. My ETF will be around $110. I'm not canceling/porting till the end of my current billing period just in case I don't like the EVO or if the new iPhone has any big surprises (which I doubt).

Porting over from T-Mobile. Had a Nexus One but I was nice enough to just give it to a family member since he hated his iPhone and wanted to give Android a shot (I love converting people! :D).

No ETF for me since I live in a black hole in NYC which surprisingly doesn't get adequate reception (in fact I get none in my apartment). I was able to finagle out of paying the ETF about two months ago because of it. I had them note my account with the "get out of jail free card". Can't wait to get out of T-Mobile come Friday!

Will be porting two numbers.

Will come out WAY ahead even if I pay the ETF (roughly under $200). Two months would cover that.

What jackoff would pay $700 bucks for your iPhone...New or used? I gotta call BS on this one. They could have gotten from ATT, no contract, for $599 or so.

Last summer I sold my 32GB iPhone 3GS for $690 on eBay. Most AT&T store's won't even sell them flat out anyways, especially to international customers.

I'm going to be eating a $100 ETF from Verizon. Anyone know how the actual ETF works? Is Sprint going to just port the number right there in the store Friday and then the $100 will show up on my Verizon bill? I'm currently on a Family Plan with Verizon but my mother and sister are staying on that plan.

I already confirmed that it will be $100 but I never figure out how thats going to work.

I am.

Goodbye T-Mobile. Thanks for the memory.

RIP - June 22, 2005 - June 4, 2010

$100 ETF + remaining of my current month (cycle ends on 13th of each month)

Criccio, when you port your number it cancels the account your are porting from. So say you are porting from Verizon to Sprint, the account with Verizon will be canceled and you will be sent a bill with only your ETF on it.

I will be calling retentions on day 29 to see if I can make a deal with them to recoup the ETF in the form of a discount on the line.

the credit is only for corporate liable customers

This is true.

Dear Chris Riccio,

Thank you for contacting Sprint regarding the ETF.

Unfortunately, we do not offer any credit against the ETF on switching
to Sprint. Sprint will not be responsible for the charges imposed by
your current provider. I am sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you again for contacting us.

Sincerely,
Ronald L

While I don't feel the need to prove myself to you, just to make you smile I decided I would:

Edit: Very strange. I can access it from eBay but when I post the link here and try to access it I get an error. Copy the link and remove all the spaces. Or just look up my seller name MisterEdF and look at my feedback. You can find it that way.

Try removing all spaces from this link:

Better yet, I attached a screen print.

The reason for the high price was because it was unlocked and jailbroken. Phones purchased after around November of last year could be jailbroken but NOT unlocked. That was what added the value. This buyer was in Iraq but I sent it to his wife in Maryland.

Um, I gotta say... RUMOR IS TRUE...

Jumped 2 lines from Verizon, got two port credits of $100...

Sprint Number Porting Credit Application

Are you a corporate liable customer? If not did you read the terms on that page? It specifically states it does not apply to individual accounts.

Service credit is available only to eligible corporate-liable accounts. Promo requires 2-year contract agreement outside of hierarchy/special contract terms. Must port in from an active wireless line and remain active on original account number for 61 days in order to receive full service credit. You should continue paying your bill while waiting for your service credit to avoid service disruption and possible credit delay.Credits apply to all devices that have an associated mobile number and come through the port process. Promotion excludes port ins from providers currently associated with Sprint. Excludes all Individual Liable, Seasonal Standby, and Special Government Rate Plans less than $10 (e.g., U3169, U3169H, U3169D, C1266).
