Help Why can I not receive photos on my Evo ?

Why can I not receive photos on my Evo ? I get a prompt that asks me if I want to download the other Mbytes, so I select yep, and, nothing happens. Why can I not receive photos on my Evo ? Am I missing some sort of setting?

Also, can't send movies with my phone. What gives ?

The only cure for that is a factory data reset. You must completely wipe your phone and start from scratch. Do not use any back up programs as you will only re-import the problem.

If there was a sinister grin smiley, I would use it here, instead this will have to suffice:D

Panchoevo, you need to be more specific. What app are you using to "received" an image?

If it's from the stock browser, check your /download (or /downloads) folder on your SD card (I recommend ASTRO as a file browser).

Where are you trying to send videos from -- and to where?

Sorry, but I have the occasional tendancy to be spiteful to posters with a track record of subpar social skills. ;) Some have suggested in the past that this interpretation is due to a poor grasp of english or the inability to impart inflection, however, Im inclined to believe its an entirely different affliction :)

Am using the stock browser.
Sending photos from phone to email address--both in USA.
I was not aware that I could access the SD card without the Evo tethered to my laptop. How does one access the SD card w/o a cable ?

Anyway, I am now getting photos. Apparently, the default resolution setting on the camera was at the extreme high end. I changed it to small, snapped a photo, and sent it as mail to my email address. Lo and behold, I got the photo. I don't understand why changing this setting would allow me to get photos from others, but I am also now getting photos from others. I am puzzled by this.

A couple a weeks ago, at a football game, I took about a 30 second video of the opening kick off. I was unable to send this video--message not sent. At that time, I still had the extreme high resolution setting on the camera. I am going to take another video at the "small" resolution, and see if I am able to send that. Would appreceiate a response on the SD card access.

Astro is the app you need for locating files on your phone. All email is limited as to the size you can send. You wont have much luck sending 720p videos via email that are of any length, 25mb is max size per gmail. *** as a note, I have found that even smaller vids sometimes dont email, my last attempt was listed as 23.97mb, wouldnt go through.

Only replying with useful info cause you said I was a good sport :D
 
Actually after checking around, while gmail file size limit is 25mb, others like earthlink, and yahoo are 10mb, and of course the a/m vid I was trying to send was to a yahoo account. I could send but they couldnt receive.
 
Well, I guess sending videos is out of the question. At least I figured out the photos. Thanks for the info.
