Why can't I delete files on my Bionic?

I rip audio book files to MP3 so I can listen them on my phone. When I am finished with a book I delete the files. However, even after I delete some of the files, they show up on the My Music player. I cannot figure out where the files are. I have gone through all the folders on both the SD card and internal memory and do not see them anywhere. I have rebooted the phone several times and also done battery pulls. Still, the files are on the My Music player. Anyone know where they can be hiding??

I'm not sure what you are doing.

I don't use this app but gave it a for for you.

I have a folder with 4 filers each contain a bunch of .mp3 files.

In My Music I went into My library and did a long press on one of the .mp3 files. I then selected delete. It was gone.

I loaded Files and went to the folder. The .mp3 file was gone.

I deleted another .mp3 file using Files.

I went back into My Music and the file was gone.

You can try an app like ES File Explorer or something similar likeAstro File Manager Both of the programs have a search function which you can use to find where the files are hiding.

Thanks guys for the suggestions! I tried Thom's method and it worked. So simple....why didn't I think of that. Thanks again.
