Root why can't i get z4root to work?

I have followed the directions on four different youtube vids and still wont work. I have downloaded and deleted z4root 10 times from different sites. Anyone know how to root this phone any other way or how to get z4root to work? PLEASE HELP

if its 2.2.1 you cant use z4root. it only works for 2.2.

check your android version if it's 2.2.1 z4root wont work it only works on optimus m 2.2
