About a week or so ago, when i was playing music through my samsung captivate with headphones, one headphone completely faded out. Another week went by and the other faded out and now the only way to listen is to push down on the headphone jack - even when doing that it doesn't always work. I know this isn't a headphone problem because they still work on other devices. I have had my captivate for about 7-8 months so it could just be the fact that its somewhat old. I tried cleaning out the jack with a cutip but nothing seems to work. I'm hoping this isn't permanent because my phone is rooted and i doubt at@t would let me replace it.
Any ideas?
