Why can't i use SD card

Hi All,

I'm having a problem accesing the 4gb card that came in the phone.
It's O2.
When I look at settings --> SD & phone storage --> the total spave on SD card is 3.69gb and 3.53 available
Unmount SD card is highlighted
Form,at SD card is greyed out
Internal phone storage available is 67.66mb

Not sure whether you needed all that info
Van I just view the SD card to see what is on it, without accesing via a pc?

When i go to Quickoffice, it states card is empty and gives no options.
I beleieve the manual is on there, but not sure.

I used an Omnia previously and you could view the card, internal memory etc quite easily

Am i approaching this incorrectly because android is so different to WM ?

You can install a free file explorer like Astro or Estrongs from the market to browse your sd card. If you want to open the manual then you need to use PDF Viewer as the manual is a PDF.
