Why do I should keep my indulge (vs Esteem)

I want to get some objective opinion since I do not see one say something good at all about indulge at "Esteem or the Indulge" thread (of course) in the esteem thread.
 
In my opinion it all comes down to how important the hardware keyboard is to you. If that is a must have than Indulge is your only option. Otherwise if you are buying a new phone than I'd probably go with the Esteem.

That said - I do not think the Esteem is worth upgrading too. In my case I spent $300 for the Indulge 6 months ago. Buying the Esteem is another $250. While I might recoup some of the cost Ebay'ing the Indulge I think it is better to hold out for the next wave or two of phones (personally I'm looking for one with dual core and at least ICS).
 
dual cores like Galaxy SII? My friend has it; it is sooo cool...
Another question: will a new owner of this rooted indulge find a problem when he/she activate it? (by person or by *228)
 
If you ODIN the phone, no remaining (software-side) issues will be on the phone.
And it it a good way to protect privacy.
That's why if buying or selling an indulge, I think one should seriously consider the ODIN thread and reseting the phone back to factory settings.
 
Another words, it will be issues' for the new owner to activate a rooted indulge right? About the privacy, how it can be? Can i simply factory reset it? ( i did it couple times after i rooted the phone for my google account reason; then, I make up a new google account with nothing on it). If i sell it, i will reset it again.
My point to leave it rooted for a cool reason (for a new user) and L:Dzyness.
Btw, honestly.. a rooted indulge with basix on it is illegal or not? If it is illegal, indeed I will odin + odin + factory reset before I sell it.
 
I'd ODIN it. While getting a rooted phone sounds cool to you - you don't know about that new user. If they need support they may not be able to get it from MetroPCS if it is rooted.

That said it shouldn't be a problem to activate it.
