Help Why do people ROOT their phone?

Why do people ROOT their phones? What does that mean and what does it do specifically on this Centrua phone?

Can you do it after the phone has been used for a few months and you don't want to lose any of your stuff on the phone?

Hey. Root means to remove the boundaries preventing you from accessing certain files.
Theres many reasons to do it.
