Why do people want flash so bad?

I always hear people bashing the optimus for its "lack of flash". But honesty, why do they want it so bad?

Personally I like to have the option of viewing websites that use Flash, just in case I encounter any reliant functionality.

A dependence on this type of front-end technology is usually pretty poor in terms of Web Design and Accessibility, but if you urgently need to use a particular site and don't have access to an alternative device at the time then it can be quite inconvenient.

Other than that though, lack of Flash really wouldn't bother me ;-)

It's not worth it with the Optimus M, it's very slow. I can only image really extensive flash design websites, it would go slow as molasses. Atleast we have youtube. =/

We have flash if your willing to install a cyanogen rom. It doesn't work very good for video, but it allows you to see flash content on websites and flash games play pretty well.
