Help Why do upload speeds matter?

Dang, i want 3g speeds like that!

CarrieK and others, do you have your proxy at 0 & 0.0.0.0 or set as stock? I noticed better 3g download speeds but worse upload speeds.

Could you or mattronixxx explain what the uploads speed represent in terms of the data? I believe I understand download speeds but how or what does the upload speed represent or do? I hope someone can make sense of my jargin. By the way a couple of tests on speednet the last the upload speed was under 100 kpbs.

i moved your question off into its own thread as it was getting a bit off topic in the PRL thread.

Upload speeds determine how fast data is sent from your handset to the network. you will get different speeds when using wifi and cellar data.

if you are uploading a video to youtube you just took on your handset, upload speed determines how "fast" the upload gets to its destination.
