why does 3g drain battery fast?

are all android phones like this? my symbian phone lasts more than a day with 3g "on" constantly and wifi too is always on whenever i get home...

Are you sure that nothing else running in the backgroung? After 1 month using it I can confirm that I can have 1 whole day without charging. U may try to disable gps "use wireless...." And packet data. And dont play too much games

what i did >>> installed juice defender, limited to 1 homescreen, 4 widgets. now it lasts 1 day. but just asking whats the difference between android and symbian. as ive said, my symbian phone (nokia c7) lasts longer with 3g constantly connected, ang wifi when im home.
