Why does my EVO do this?

Every time I switch from an app back to my home page I will temporarily see the HTC splash screen and then the spinning wheel as it refreshes. This might last 5 seconds or so but it happens almost all the time.

I've tried moving all my apps to the SD card and flushing my cache but it didnt make a difference.

Any suggestions?
